Just Lip Balm It.

2017 is the year of the lip balm. Light, summery with a hint of a tint, no longer satisfied with being left in the background, the lip balm revolution is here! Here're my top picks guaranteed to cause a stir this summer!

1. Dior Addict Lip Glow - Colour Awakening Lip Balm.

Dior launched a new shade of their Addict Lip Glow Lip Balm. Apparently this one works with your body chemistry and gives you your own unique colour once you put it on. It stains your lips quickly and works pretty much like a lip balm, with the tiniest feel of mint on my lips, but that might just be my lips. I really don't know when this was launched as I've just discovered them, (it seems most people are just discovering them as well) but they've got a permanent spot in my bag now. I can't stop raving about them too. Summer here we come. (If I've got any left).

2. YSL Volupté Tint-In-Balm

Yves Saint Laurent's Volupté Tint-In-Balm gives an immediate shine and tint. According to YSL its outer layer delivers instant Balm care with macadamia and apricot butters mixed with passion fruit, coriander and jojoba oils for a glowing sheer colour that's vivid yet transparent. The lip-shaped heart of the lipstick runs from top to bottom and provides a tint. I personally think this is one for all seasons.

3. M.A.C Tender Talk Lip Balm

Like everything M.A.C touches this has some va va voom at first glance. The colours are really bright to look at and the holographic packaging makes you smile truly. Tender Talk Lip Balm has five colours guaranteed to condition your skin lasting up to three hours. The balms change colour based on your body chemistry and as such becomes unique to each individual. Launched in summer 2016 it originally came in five shades all lightly scented with vanilla essence.

4. Marc Jacobs Lock Lips Moisture Balm, Makeout.

Here's one I really like. Minty, no frills, functional and elegant this one ticks all the boxes. It lasts (when you're able to stop licking your lips). Its also blended with Andiroba, Buriti oil and has SPF 18 (sun screen). It's a luxury Lip Balm, but it really does the job. It's translucent, so no frills with colour. £18 at John Lewis.
